There will be three more books in the series. Thanks for supporting the Detective Lorena Evans thriller series!

Hi Brenda. Books nine and the finale, ten, will release in 2018. Also, I'll be releasing book one of a new apocalypse series I'm starting and probably book three in the Detective Lorena Evans thriller series. Happy Holidays and a blessed New Year to you and yours, Kate

Copy/paste a big section (ie the last chapter you were writing where you got stuck) somewhere into a blank new page. Looking at the previous chapter will help. This gives you fresh eyes. Perhaps the last thing you wrote where you got hung up isn't where the story needs to go. Go back to the previous chapter and pick it up in a different direction. Let it "tell" you what to do and where to go with it! Always refer back to your outline, too. This will also help. I write an outline with paper and pen, the old-fashioned way. I can flip to it easily and I always leave a lot of room to make additions in between spaces. Hope this helps.

I have never had that problem... yet! I usually know where I want the story to go. With The McClane Apocalypse, I wrote all three books in three months. Then I went back and did slower, more accurate editing on book one before publishing. Then I worked on two and now I am editing on three. But the whole story was there. I would suggest taking some time to read through the whole manuscript and then visualize where you want it to go before moving forward. An outline will help you a lot! Regards, Kate

I can get lost in very small details like the threads that connect a button to a shirt or researching a medical scene or studying the psychology behind certain behaviors that some people exhibit. Nature is a big one for me. I live in the country, have animals and also a lot of wildlife around my property. Inspiration is everywhere, quite literally. It's just dependent on how closely we take the time to notice it all.

Editing book three of The McClane Apocalypse trilogy and working on..... guess we'll have to wait and see.

Write and/or edit every day. Rain, shine, sick, busy: write! You never know where inspiration may hit.

This doesn't usually happen for me, but I do have a tough time sometimes killing off a character. I grow very attached!
