Sandi Beth Jones I'm currently writing it, so hopefully very soon!
Sandi Beth Jones Write until you reach the end. Then repeat. Make sure you have other experienced writing friends who'll critique your writing. It's a lonely life being a writer, but you'll be more successful with writing friends/partners.
Sandi Beth Jones Travel and history always get me started. Sometimes I even get ideas for stories in other genres that I don't write. It's that little "what if..." that sprouts in my mind and finally I have to sit down and write the whole thing.
Sandi Beth Jones This is hard for me to answer, because it's not a problem for me. Early on, I had a few abandoned stories. Since then I've discovered that if I know LOTS about my characters, the story becomes easier to write. And of course a good conflict is key. My advice would be to read something that interests you and keep writing--even through a scene you'll probably throw away. You'll make it through to the good stuff!
Sandi Beth Jones I've always said I could entertain myself in an empty room. It's true. I love developing characters and worlds, but the best, BEST part is when readers enjoy the stories, too.
Sandi Beth Jones I'm working on the second "Prometheus Order" novel, a sequel to BYRONIC. It's going to delve more deeply into the supernatural world of the sea islands and the strange things happening there.
Sandi Beth Jones A school research paper. Honest! I wrote about Mary Shelley (Frankenstein) and fell in love with those crazy Romantic poets. I love literature retellings, so I imagined a modern day spin on those stories.
