Kyle M. Scott Not sure which book you're addressing, Claudia, but my books are all slowly but surely making their way to print. At the moment, A Better Life, Consumed Volume 2, and the Razorblade Candies Collection are available. In the coming weeks, The Club, Where The Dead Ones Play and Devil's Day will also be available in paperback.

PS: Just realised your question was from three years ago. I haven't been keeping up with things on Goodreads, and for that I apologize.

Thanks for the interest.

Yours,
Kyle
Kyle M. Scott Always write what you love and never hesitate to follow your gut. Forget about fame and fortune. If they come, fantastic, but it should always be about the art. If you're honest in your work and enjoy what you do, there's a much better chance others will enjoy it too. Be fearless and believe in yourself.
Kyle M. Scott I think for me, it's the freedom that comes with creating worlds and allowing myself to become absorbed by them. It often feels like sanctuary. The worlds I create may be violent, dark and sometimes despairing, but as the architect of these worlds, I'm always elated with the process. It puts a mighty spring in my step.
Kyle M. Scott It's not something I've ever encountered, at least that I'm aware of. I tend to write obsessively then take an extended break to recharge. That way, I seem to have no problem with the dreaded writer's block. Touch wood.
Kyle M. Scott I have a few projects on the go at the moment. I'm working on my next novel - it's a sci f-/horror fusion that recalls the golden age of the 1950's genre cinema, but injected with a more modern social subtext and a far harder, more extreme edge. I'm also working on a few anthology projects that will be dropping soon. Can't divulge too much at the moment buy stay tuned.
Kyle M. Scott It can come in a variety of forms. My first release, CONSUMED: VOLUME 1, was the outcome of some frustrations I had with how we consume within our society, be it information, beliefs, wealth...it was really my way of dealing with these issues in an escapist, blackly humorous way. The horror lay at the heart of the stories, but the themes were the catalyst for the tales.
With DEVIL'S DAY, it was a whole different experience - good old fashioned love for the genre and a desire to write something that could stand up as a go-to novel for horror lovers.
The inspiration for each plot comes as and when it pleases -2am, while shopping, at a bar - I just grab it and run with it, when it does.
Kyle M. Scott The idea came during the winter of last year. I was devouring a whole slew of 80's horror cinema, (Night of the Creeps, The Monster Squad, Night of the Demons etc), and I got to thinking, 'wouldn't it be nice to write a love letter to that era - a real old school monster story, but with hardcore violence and visceral gore'. As soon as I had decided I wanted to set the book on Halloween Night, the plot simply fell into place. I wanted to write a book that was as much a celebration of the genre as a thrill-ride. I hope I succeeded.
