I was writing a short story about an idea I wanted to try a little while ago. I intended it to be a novelette, much the two books previous to it. The idea was simple.
A psychiatrist, on night-shift, hallucinates and get's attacked by patients. Well... something like that anyways. The idea that came afterward was much larger and more complex than anything I could have tried to pre-plan. That book was my first published novel called, Spettra.

Currently I am working on a sequel for one of my previous e-books. It will be out on Amazon sometime in late August.
If you're a fan of my previous books, I promise that this one will be absolutely thrilling. If haven't read them yet, then feel free to check my stories out, so you can be up to date when the new work comes out later this summer.

The same thing you will be told by anyone else trying to write professionally or succeeding in writing professionally. You have to read a lot, and write a lot. Most important two points right there.
It never hurts to touch up on grammar either. We can all forget the basics sometimes(god knows I have), and it's important thing to keep your mind fresh with the rules if you want to look good in the publishing world.

The best thing about being a writer is being able to escape to another world inside of the fiction you've created yourself. The better part of that, is when other people immerse themselves into that same place. Reactions are much more important to me than even doing the work. When people are satisfied after reading one of my books or when a reader tells me they loved certain characters, that's what really gives me a thrill. I'm a people-pleaser, and I bring that into my writing as well. I love to make people feel, and think when I write and not just bring them entertainment.
So...all In all... I guess I could say that I love to write because of the work, but the best thing of all is seeing excitement, or being told by a reader about how much they loved a book. That really makes it all worth it.

Just keep on writing. Eventually, you will get back on track. Anything badly created can always be deleted in the second draft. The key to curing writers block, ironically is, writing. When you start to just put onto page whatever comes to your head, your mind tends to remember why it was you began to write in the first place.
