What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Dan Armstrong As the summer comes to a close, I'm reading Simon Armitage's translation of "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight," Peter Gay's biography of Sigmund Freud, titled "Freud: A Life for Our times," and Freud's classic "Dora: An Analysis of a Case of Hysteria."

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Dan Armstrong I would go to Samuel Butler's imaginary land of Erewhon where the direction of civilization is reversed.

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?
Dan Armstrong My favorite fictional couple is Matho, a Libyan mercenary, and Salammbo, a Carthaginian princess, from Gustave Flaubert's "Salammbo," set at the end of the First Punic War between Rome and Carthage. I choose this couple mostly because of the character Salammbo. She is easily my favorite fictional female character because she is so mysterious and otherworldly. Matho is the heroic warrior whose courage makes him the perfect/imperfect match for Salammbo.

When do you anticipate the completion of your trilogy? I purchased the Siege of Syracuse from you at the Art Fair during the Olympic Trials and just completed The Death of Marcellus. I look forward to the final installment.
