It is said that a reader lives a thousand lives. I have always wanted to do everything and be everything and found myself career hopping constantly. As a writer I get to be all the things I want to be as I write the stories of my characters, I get to live their lives. It is the next best thing to doing it myself.

Nike...Just do it. Find the time, overcome the obstacles, fight your inner demons and just get the words on the page. Don't edit as you go, just get that first draft out and finished.

I have the first book in a YA trilogy in editing and have the next book in my Love, Money & Shoes series at the outline stage.

Music inspires me, beautiful photographs inspire me. I live in a gorgeous part of Australia and going for a walk and taking in the scenery inspires me. Also other books inspire me (I read a lot!)

Since finishing my first book, characters seem to pop into my head randomly and want me to tell me their stories. Michelangelo said, "I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free." And that is kind of what I do, I write until the character's story is free.

Go for a walk, change the location where I am writing and sometimes just write through it regardless of how bad it is. Sometimes you have to get the bad out before you find the good.
