I almost never get it. If I do have an issue, I'll set aside what I'm doing and go for a run, bike ride, play tennis, etc... Something that takes me completely away from the writing world.

I'm currently working on a book that deals with surviving tragedy and the transformations that occur as people deal with the aftermath in different ways.

I underwent knee surgery a couple of years ago. During my recovery phase, I spent a good amount of time watching running videos on YouTube. High School and College cross country videos in particular were fun to watch because the scenery was different for each meet.
By the end of my first week of laying on the couch, I had come up with the three main characters in the novel.
