I get inspired to write by reading bad writing. Bad writing always sparks this feeling of "well if THIS could get published..." in me.

Just get words on a page. Resist the temptation to edit as you go along to "get things right". They won't be and it'll just cause you not to write.
Get it down on the page, start to finish, so at least you have something to work with.

Console Wars. I lived through this era of Sega vs Nintendo and I'm really looking forward to the inside scoop that I didn't know as a kid.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I hope you enjoyed reading the book as much as I enjoyed writing it.
As for new projects, I'm currently cooking up a new book but it takes time. I'm not a full-time author so putting together a novel, even a short one, is no small feat!
In the meanwhile, please tell people about The Predicates of Fate. Every sale encourages me a little more that there are people out there who enjoy my writing.
Thanks again for the feedback!

I step away for a while and try not to think of it. Inspiration strikes on its own when you least expect it.

I'm currently working on a rough map of my second book, another scifi story but much different from The Predicates of Fate, which reveled in its scifi tropes.
Whereas my first was meticulously plotted (owing to the necessities of time travel), I'm hoping to follow a more Stephen King-ian approach to writing my second. He famously starts a book with a general idea of where he's going but lets the experience of writing dictate to progress of the story.
(If you haven't already, I suggest reading his great how-to/autobiography "On Writing".

The best thing about being a writer is hearing feedback from complete strangers.
These people spent their hard-earned money to check out the work of a stranger, and for that I'm grateful, whether they liked the book or not.
To know that people out there are consuming something borne from my mind, something that didn't exist until I created it, is something special.

I got my initial idea from the cover art of "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots", the great 2002 album from The Flaming Lips.
