My answer is simply to try. So many people have said that they'd like to write, yet don't know how or don't have the time. Writing is like exercise, I believe - you either make time for it because it's something inside of you that has to come out, or you don't. And writing, like working out, are wonderfully cathartic processes that are good for the mind, body and soul.

I am currently working on a follow-up to Falling Through Trees in the life of Kate Harriman. She will encounter another life tragedy in this next story - one that will make her grow even more as she fights for what she loves most in this world.

My inspiration comes from my characters, more than a plot or storyline. I so enjoy creating a persona on paper, and love to hear feedback from my readers that they loved my characters, as well.

The impetus behind Falling Through Trees came from my own life experience, that of losing my mother to suicide. My hope in this story is that survivors of suicide will see that life can go on, and that sometimes all you really need to do, is just let go.
