I'd probably have to put some creative spin on these, but the kernel of truth would be that two prized pieces of my jewelry collection have gone missing, and I'd like to have all the time in the world to hunt for them until I find them. One is an heirloom ring, and the other is a bracelet my husband gave me to celebrate a double release day I had.

Originally, when I decided to try my hand at writing, I wanted to give readers that same experience I would get myself when reading a favorite book or series and get so swept away by the storyline. You feel like you are part of the story too. When the book is done, you still think about the characters, wonder what they're doing in their daily lives, daily schedule, and daily trials. If I could create that experience for a reader, I'd feel like a successful author, so that's what inspires me. To create the same experience for a reader that I love.

Currently, I'm writing a series with my amazing and gifted writing partner, Angel Payne. We have a 15 book series with Waterhouse Press that is going to bring new meaning to "reading past your bedtime."

Cheryl!! You are so sweet for saying this! Hmmm, I think I find inspiration in everyday life. At least that's where the little spark of a thought comes from, and then the seed is planted, and takes root and grows a bit, and my imagination runs off and does its crazy thing, and before I know it, there's a whole story there. But I definitely like characters to do real life things that readers relate to.

Yes!! Book 9 is called No Longer Lost, and it's the second part of Mac and Taylor's story. This may be my favorite book of the entire series. (But I say that after every book, LOL) The book is scheduled for a release date of May 7, 2019! Thanks for the question Aisha. <3

I do household chores and wait for the plot problem to work itself out. If that doesn't happen and I'm running out of time, I'll skip the scene entirely and see if I can work backward.

Giving a reader the chance to escape within the pages of a good story. Behind every author is an avid reader, and we all know what it's like to love a book so thoroughly that time stands still while you fall deeper and deeper into the world you're reading about.

Don't give up and learn the craft. Learn basic grammar first, then go from there. I know we all have a storyteller deep inside our hearts, but nothing's worse than a poorly worded sentence.
