Kern Carter I usually don't have a list of books I plan to read. I go mostly by what catches my attention while browsing online or through suggestions from friends or colleagues. However, one book I definitely plan on reading this summer is A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James.
Kern Carter From observations I made my entire life. The greatest personal tragedy is failed potential so I really wanted to articulate a story around that premise.

Kern Carter Being able to create a piece of work from my mind and have people react emotionally in some manner. If I don't provoke some kind of emotion, positive or negative, then I've failed. I rather someone hate my book than to say it's just OK.
Kern Carter I've never experienced writer's block. Most of the time it's the opposite and I have too much to say.
