Great question Sally. This is a photo book of people and scenes around Dayton. I embarked on this project while a daily newspaper reporter at the Dayton Daily News. I believed there was a story to be told through photography about the people in this city and how they endured through the Great Recession. On my journey, I found very remarkable and unforgettable characters around town who made great portraits and told a story without words. My other photo books tell a similar tale.
