I'm not a professional writer so take anything I say with a load of salt, but I'd say the ability to create, without needing anyone or anything else, a world in which you can play.

Not well. There are so many distractions. I have to just look forward to reaching a certain goal and how good that will feel. But the Internet is always calling with its silly, meaningless tidbits. Once I get writing, however, I forget I'm having a hard time writing, and just write.
