Wow that's so awesome! Always the deepest compliment to reenergize another writer. My siblings and I all write different things from time to time and it's really fun when one of our pieces gets the other two going again.
I've tried writing other things but nothing is really taking. I wanted to make a space opera but it turns out sci fi is just slightly out of reach for the time being. There's just so much more you have to develop in terms of tech etc.
When it comes to fantasy, anything I try to come up with I inevitably compare to Tatterwing and nothing feels quite right. I might be a george lucas type, who had one big project in me and thats it (no shade to THX 1138 or his other smaller movies). But time will tell. I'll keep trying different things.

Yes, it's going to be the concluding book in the series and it just happens to be up for preorder right now, releasing friday, 11/4! To celebrate the end, we made books 1-3 free this week if you haven't already got em or if you have people who might want to get into it :}

Oh gosh, I didn't see this question until now... goodreads troubles me. I'm probably half way through writing book 5 atm. Putting in extra care to make it good, my mantra being "you only get to end a book series once".
Anyway, if I were betting, I'd say this coming winter at the earliest. I'd be shocked if we went any later than february or march of 2022, because we also have a few project ideas for post Tatterwing that are exciting us

Thanks for the question! I have two more books left to write. I'm on the cusp of starting book 4 (writing starts early fall for sure, as I'm wrapping up my outline very soon).
I expect the whole series to be done in less than 4 years total. I'm hoping 3 years, because there's no question where we are taking things in terms of planning, and the last two stories kind of roll together anyway. Plus we already know how it ends! :}

Sorry for the late reply, but thanks for your interest. I've been meaning to branch out and put the book more places, but I haven't gotten to it yet and its been years. Ha :( Working on sequels and doing my day job has kept me pretty busy.
I know that you can get the kindle app for most devices, including phones, tablets, pc. There are great reading options on the app, such as reversing the text so it's on a dark background, and scaling down the brightness so its really not hard on the eyes. I usually hate reading on bright screens, but I've found the app itself helps minimize a lot of my issues.
Anyway, I hope this helped in some way!
