E.D. Ward Sine Deorum, my second book, was heavily influenced by a visit, I was aged 15 years old at the time, from my father one morning around 2.00 am, standing in the shadows of a doorway in what used to be his bedroom. I should hasten to say; he died when I was twelve. Even though the visits lasted a number of weeks, as I grew older, it was inevitable that I would come to doubt what I so readily embraced at the time, if it were not for the memory of my father’s eyes burning through mine. He did not speak, but only stood staring while I, unable to muster more than a glance retreated shivering with fear. Now in my sixties, I like to think I would react differently.
E.D. Ward A single word, a phrase that lingers longer than most, memory’s of things I survived. Pain, love and death. It’s constantly there in front of all of us. First you have to see it, connect to it, and then know how to use it.
E.D. Ward I have just finished my second book titled, “Sine Deorum-Without Gods.” I have four books planned, so I will soon start looking at my notes.

E.D. Ward It is great to be inspired by someone else, but ultimately you must find your own voice.
E.D. Ward Although I paint and write for myself, to have some one else enjoy my work is a great feeling, and without that shared pleasure, I have often asked myself what would be the point?
E.D. Ward Mostly I don’t get writers block, and that’s because usually my notes from which I work, are written years in advance with the final notes one year in advance before I start work. So the story and any bumps I might encounter, are ironed out long before.

E.D. Ward Time in some ways, had not been kind to him, but his fading memory of being driven from his beloved Rectory, amongst the slamming of doors and crashing objects, which inevitably over time took its toll, he found a blessing. The foul smell of breath upon the back of his neck however, followed by the chilling words, “turn around if you dare”, he could never forget.

E.D. Ward I am not a person who normally plans books to read, and would prefer writing than reading, and mostly what I do read is for information.
