Same as with any creative endeavour, just keep doing it. Practice, practice, practice, and don't ever think you've got there. Work on getting it all as good as it can be. Being true to your inner expression is really important.

This is never a problem for me. I have so many ideas swilling around in my head, that it is hard to keep track of it all. Likewise my characters seem to take off in ways I was not expecting. I feel as though the words were alive and I'm just there to shepherd them along.
