Sherine Khalil Almost anything, a phrase, a situation, watching a movie, reading a book, or taking a walk down the street. Then sitting down and let the keyboard do the work.

Sherine Khalil A novel about Egypt since Nasser up to the January 25th revolution.

Sherine Khalil Writers write is the best advice. The more you write the better you get at it. You develop writing muscles.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Sherine Khalil The best thing about being a writer is the writing process itself. You lose yourself in the plot and characters creating a world which eventually seems to create itself.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Sherine Khalil I've always been fascinated by the travels of the Orientalists in Egypt. Even in our present day, travellers to Egypt describe their arrival to this land as 'coming home'.
