The best thing about being a writer is I get to create my own worlds. I make up characters and tell their lives while throwing them in as much peril as love. I can have my own rules and my own myths in my little paranormal universes. And when someone falls in love with my characters like I have it makes me want to jump up and down while screaming.

I have a couple techniques to fight writers block. One is to read a book. It relaxes me and wakes up my imagination. Another way is to take a nap. Since I'm a big fan of anything paranormal--books, movies, television--I have some pretty wicked dreams. I once wrote an entire book based on a dream. I woke up I knew I had to get it on paper... a computer screen actually.
