What made an impact on your decision to write about the vampires, mystical creatures, and coming up with the name gangpire?

Sentu Taylor Hi Kitani,
I have always enjoyed spooky tales, but it has always struck me that the few urban attempts horror fiction especially in Hollywood movies like "Vampire in Brooklyn" and "Tales from the Hood" were done more as a spoof than a well-crafted scary movie. I felt that there needed to be more urban horror done with a serious effort.
The name Gangpire didn't come about until a few chapters into the still untitled story until the words gang and vampire sat only one line apart, and they literally waved at me to put them together, lol.

How do you get inspired to write?

Sentu Taylor I have too much imagination. At least that's what my mom says, lol.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Sentu Taylor I always have been a fan of horror/vampire fiction. But usually they are very predictable. I wanted to find a way to create a different kind of vampire story, with the most unusual characters and plots. That's how the idea of GANGPIRE was born.
