The best thing is the freedom. I can write anywhere, anytime. I don't have to work on a schedule, though I do, and I no longer feel as stressed as I did while working a "regular" job.

To tell you the truth I don't remember. I've had the idea in my head for years, I just never had the time to write it out before. But as I write the characters invent the world on their own, and it grows from their reactions to the things I do to them.

I read other books, and I watch movies or documentaries that interest me. They usually spark something in me, and I come up with ideas as I immerse myself in these other worlds.

Right now I'm editing the second book in the Outsiders Series and writing the third one. Mostly writing right now, but when I get a chance I go back and review the second one.

Set yourself a word count. It can be a daily number, or it can be a weekly. But match it. Don't go over, and don't go under. When you learn how much you can easily write in a sitting you then be able to tell how much you can do at a time. Personally I started out with 1,000 words a day, then worked myself up to 2,000. Don't back down from the challenge of writing if you want to get it done.

There is no writers block, there is only the desire to stop writing. If I do not feel like writing I do it anyway. If you look back and compare what you wrote on days you felt inspired versus the days you weren't you will be unable to tell the difference after some time has passed.
