As of now, I am working on a science fiction novel about a teenage girl in a utopia. It's in first person perspective, and will deal with a lot of different topics about technology, philosophy, and family.

Read a lot, and try to read a lot of different styles. Start early. Don't trust your family and friends about your work; they're lying. If someone says, "I love it." Never let them read your work again. Come to terms with rejection. Put the video game controller down. Understand that it can be a lonely life, but a fulfilling one. Have fun!

Reading my fan's reactions toward my stories, and being able to craft a story together. I enjoy playing with language and trying to create beautiful worlds, characters, and stories. It's all very cathartic and fun.

I stopped having writer's block a long time ago because I got over one very important obstacle: Not caring if my first draft sucks. I think most authors are petrified that their writing is going to be bad, especially on the first go around, and can't get past it. Once you stop caring about whether or not your writing is bad, writer's block will have very little power of you.
