That's a hard question to answer. I can tell you that I worked as a library assistant for 4 years and I devoured everything I could get my hands on. However, I did enjoy many of Danielle Steele's books early on. Thanks for the question!

Actually writing comes fairly easy to me. I have a vivid imagination too, so that goes hand in hand with writing. I take real life situations and embellish the stories and voila! A story is born.

Telling your story, choosing your cover, and then seeing your name on the cover. I love hearing all the great reviews as well. It shows I've made someone happy.

Have thick skin, and be prepared to give up a lot of free time marketing your baby. It's very time consuming, but so worth it when you read the great reviews - like The Salty Dog is receiving.

I've been marketing The Salty Dog like a crazy woman, and getting Passport To Happiness ready. My next project will be to revise The Pet Palace which was my very first book. It had mixed reviews, and rightly so. I'll be sending it to a "real editor" to look it over before asking anyone to spend a dime on it. It is a cute story though, and I hope people will look past the couple of bad reviews and give it a chance.

My husband served in the United States Air Force for 20+ years. We traveled to many exciting places. I've revisited some of these places in Passport To Happiness - due out later this summer.
