hi, carrie. did you ever get to hear the rare and hard to find babylon sugar tracks? i was never able to locate them myself, and even though i've read from members themselves they were not that special i would still love to hear them at some point.

Hey, will Grrrls on the Side explore the transphobia that is sometimes present in the Riot Grrrl scene?

Carrie Pack Thanks so much for asking! I wrote Grrrls because I hoped to spark discussion on these types of issues. Riot Grrrl was a safe haven for many, but unfortunately, that was not the case for some marginalized groups, like trans women. That said, I do not address the issue of transphobia specifically, but there is talk about how Riot Grrrl could be problematic due to its lack of inclusivity. Also, a couple of my characters deal with issues surrounding their gender expression—one gets criticized for being too feminine and another for being too masculine.
