C. Chase Harwood The alien that poured from the purifying pumpkin had teeth similar to an angler fish. As it chomped its way up his arm, slicing efficiently through even bone, Bob’s scream caught in his throat, allowing only his lips and tongue to quiver.
C. Chase Harwood The world of artificial intelligence and the notion of a rapidly approaching time when there will be a singularity between man and computer, both frightens and fascinates me. There have been a rash of articles as of late, where pioneers of this frontier have been interviewed. Like it or not, the singularity would seem to be just a matter of time. The notion of such a thing is ripe for a big action adventure tale.
C. Chase Harwood I consume a huge amount of media. My interests are vast and my curiosity is insatiable. Because I am adamant that my stories are grounded in facts (that I admittedly bend), my books require a lot of research. Doing the research tends to have a snowball effect on what I write about.
C. Chase Harwood My latest is The Future is Now: An action-adventure primarily taking place on the African Continent, it follows 3 NGOs as they face down a warming planet, and a plot to quicken its demise.

C. Chase Harwood Don't say that you are trying to be a writer. Be a writer. If you write, then you are a writer... Then research the heck out of the field and genre and publishing world that you intend to live in and just do it.
C. Chase Harwood I get to play God. It sounds perverse and perhaps narcissistic, but I am the creator of my own universes. I choose everything - then demi-gods like editors sort out my errors. It is very satisfying being an ultimate creator. It is eminently satisfying when my creations become entertainment to be shared and enjoyed. As an author, I get to toss my universes out into the ether, wherewith the help of readers, they take on the breath of life.
C. Chase Harwood I think writer's block is a psychological state of inertia. It's a matter of writing anyway. I sit down with my story and it just comes. If not, then I have the advantage of working on multiple stories at once so I can just jump to another book. I also blow past a chapter that I'm struggling with a start another one. Often the new chapter will create fertile ground for planting where I was stuck.
