Lisa Brown Roberts No, they can both be read as stand-alones. Replacement Crush introduces the main characters of Bookworm Crush, but nothing critical that you need to know about before reading Bookworm Crush. I hope you enjoy :)
Lisa Brown Roberts Hi Scott,

I hope so! If it happens, I will be sure to shout it from the virtual rooftops. :)

Best,

Lisa
Lisa Brown Roberts Hi Jennette,

I'm so glad you enjoyed TRC! The release date for Toff's book has been pushed back, so that may be why it's not available for pre-order.

I will be sharing updates about this one as soon as I can. I'm excited for everyone to read it!

Lisa Brown Roberts Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it - I really loved writing that one :). For aspiring writers, I always recommend reading as much as possible! Read types books in the genre you want to write, but also a wide variety of other genres, too. Also, try to write every day, even if it's just a page of notes, ideas, character sketches, etc. I believe writing is a muscle you make stronger the more you use it. Good luck!
Lisa Brown Roberts Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed The Replacement Crush. I had a lot of fun writing it, and will always be a Trekkie myself :). If you're interested in inside scoop, sneak peeks from other projects I'm working on, and general silliness from me, I have a private reader FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/21012...
Lisa Brown Roberts Hi Sam!

I'm so glad you enjoyed Playing the Player :) The Replacement Crush releases on 9/6/16. It's about a teen romance book blogger on a mission to find a "safe crush" after getting her heart broken, and the cute new nerd in town who interferes with her mission. Cover and blurb will be released by my publisher as we get closer to publication- can't wait to share it with readers!
Lisa Brown Roberts Hearing from and meeting readers who connect with my stories is the best. It makes me so happy to know all the crazy stuff I make up at 4:00 a.m. resonates with others.

I also love all the people I've met in the publishing world: other authors, bloggers, editors, agents, conference gurus...everyone!
Lisa Brown Roberts Currently I'm working on a summer 2015 release from the new Entangled Teen Crush imprint. It's a YA romantic comedy (untitled so far).

What happens when the class perfectionist and the class playboy are thrown together for a summer nanny job? Chaos + chemistry = lots of kissing.
Lisa Brown Roberts Hi Carmine,

Thank you for your kind words about HOW (NOT) TO FALL IN LOVE, and asking about my next projects.

I have so many ideas, I can hardly keep track of them all! I'm happy to say that I have more YA contemporary romances releasing from Entangled Teen. Coming next is a YA rom-com about the class perfectionist and the class playboy thrown together for a summer nanny job with two crazy little kids - lots of chaos, chemistry, and kissing. I had a lot of fun writing it, and am looking forward to sharing it with readers.

Lisa Brown Roberts I wish I could say the heavens opened and magical ideas rained down on me like confetti. What really happens is I get up at 4:30 a.m. every day, make a pot of coffee, and get in two hours of writing before I take my son to school and head to my day job. It's not a glamorous answer, but it's the truth, and it's how I've managed to write two more novels since HOW (NOT) TO FALL IN LOVE.

Inspiration can come from anywhere. I sometimes think there's a gigantic cosmic soup of story ideas and our subconscious dips its ladle in there, and the ideas just show up to us fully formed. Other days we're making the soup from scratch and scrambling for the ingredients. But as Stephen King says, if you're sitting at your computer every day, odds are good the muse will show up for you, at least sometimes.
Lisa Brown Roberts Find community with other writers. I wrote in isolation for way too long. Once I connected with local writing groups, starting with SCBWI, I met the wonderful people who've been my critique partners for 10 years. They've supported me through so much, and without their collective wisdom I wouldn't have finally achieved the dream of publication.
