Jack Rollins Unfortunately the series never made it to Z. Sadly, Dark Chapter Press closed its doors a few years ago, before then and all the rights to all the stories reverted back to the respective authors. The only story I still have the rights to was my own contribution, 'Hard Man' which you can find here: https://books2read.com/ahardman
Jack Rollins I have a large work in progress, which I have prioritised. It's a story which is long overdue. Then I have some smaller projects I intend to focus on, and once they are wrapped up, I expect we shall all be due another appointment with the doctor.
Jack Rollins Hi David, I'm currently working on a story for a secret anthology to be released by a publisher in the USA. I have had one piece (a contemporary one) accepted by them for another anthology, and the same company is considering another of my Victorian horror stories, this time, one set in Sweden.

In the background I continue to work on 2 stories related to the Dr Blessing series and hope to be releasing both of these via Dark Chapter Press this year - so bear with me, there's lots more in store!
Jack Rollins I remain interested in the Victorian era, and there are so many facets that I have found interested and inspiring, and which I have tried to include in my work. I love the age of credulity, the shysters and mediums who preyed upon the naive and superstitious, sometimes using what was modern science to enhance their trickery - to take advantage of people who were unaware of the progress being made. That is the backdrop to my latest story, where I wanted that world to collide with a man who appears to be able to truly commune with supernatural forces...
Jack Rollins I am currently juggling 4 projects, but two of them are long term, one medium term and one is almost ready to go. The closest to release is another Victorian horror novella/short and is about a young man trying to fathom the mystery surrounding his sister's physical and mental ruin following her attendance of a seance.
Jack Rollins The freedom to create, especially in the horror genre, there is no expectation to be completely accurate. I try to research historical facts well, to add depth to my story, but the fun comes when I ask questions like: what exactly is the science behind a vampire's healing ability? No doctor can tell me that, so Dr Blessing can tell everyone his theory.
Jack Rollins I leave my notebooks out where I can see them, as though they are goading me to write something. Then I read, I relax, I unwind. I do anything but write. Some authors will tell you you have to write every day, good for them. Have you ever tried to have a conversation with someone who really had nothing to say? That's what they must be writing half the time. I enjoy things and right then, when I'm not even thinking about it, an idea just pops into place, and my pen gets moving again.
