Dear Roni,
I didn't see your question until today. There is no problem about getting "Coming Home" on Kindle. It is certainly available. The paperback version wasn't available for a brief while but is also available now.
I hope that you enjoy the third in the series.

The hundredth anniversary of the 1916 Rising which resulted in Ireland becoming an independent country is this year so I thought it would be a good time to explore my family history. Like many Irish families, I had a grandfather in the British army but also other relatives who fought for freedom from Britian.

I was inspired to write this book by a photograph in my grandparents house when I was a little girl. It was very glamorous and showed him in uniform and her in a beautiful lace gown. I knew them as old, poor people who lived in a small house in Dublin. I wanted to trace their lives and the changes which they coped with.

No, but the story is based on my grandparents lives and he was an Irishman in the British Army. I was interested in the major changes in their lives, from luxury to frugality, from being a hero to being shunned by his own people and even his family.

Thank you! Sounds like an intriguing story. I've been both a soldier and a soldier's wife, so I'll check out your book!

I am working on a sequel to "A Soldier's Wife" which is set in Ireland and Spain in the 1930's. I am also sort of working on a psychological thriller set in West Cork and Spain

Read as much as you can. Write every day even if it is only a sentence. Get into the habit of writing a certain amount at a set time every day. Only show your work to people whom you really trust.

The best thing is being your own boss and being able to work when you want to. That is also the worst thing!

I do some reading of a writer that I admire, go for a walk, have a glass of wine and then read the last piece that I wrote. I try to continue even if the words are coming out wrong, and if that doesn't work, I sit and hear the sentences in my head. Sometimes the only thing to do is go to bed and try again next day!
