I like knowing that other people are reading my stories and enjoying them. I also enjoy refining and improving my writing skills. It has improved my confidence tenfold.

My advice is:
Take your time, don't try and sit down and expect to be able to write an entire story in one sitting.
Take care on where you post your work. (Ask other authors that write in your preferred genre where they would recommend.
Accept that not everyone is going to like your work and you are going to get bad reviews. If the person has a good point to make then take it on board. if the person is just ranting about your work, just ignore them.
Lastly - NEVER give up. The more you write the better you will get if you listen to advice and take all criticism on board.

I have always loved fantasy books, vampires, witches, werewolves. you name it. when I saw this event I decided to try my hand and write something. I am grateful for the reviews I have received, they have highlighted problems that I will be taking into consideration for my next books.
