I am not a fan of intergalactic travel but let's go as far as the moon, and call it lunarville. I'm a farmer at heart so I'd try to grow something, or raise an animal, for food.
Right now I live and work in Vietnam, and am growing a tomato tree, not a tree tomato, in my roof garden.

I'm working with a FB Group called Vintage Voices, and we all write novels based on history. Historical novels take a lot of research, and often as the author is writing something happens to change the story.
This takes a lot of reading, which I'm enjoying.

Wow, too many! As I have lived and worked in so many countries, I would probably have to base a story on my short time in Ethiopia. Beautiful country tragic history, leaving the love of your life behind you! I'll let you know when I decide on a title.

Oh definitely the Pickwicks from Charles Dickens.
I did think about this question for a bit before answering, but then decided I could see so many similarities between myself and Mr Pickwick - haven't sold a book today, but I think I'll decorate the bathroom!

I don't really suffer from writer's block. My problem is more related to the promotion of my books, and I spend a long time each day doing that, including for the nine novels I have with recognized publishers.
My other problem is plot. I some times change the plot as I write, or I should say my characters change the plot.

20 years ago I was working in Sri Lanka, and lived in a house in the middle of a three acre coconut estate. This was a break between projects and I was getting bored, so I started reading local history, and then visiting those places described by the local history, like Singiriya (as it is called nowadays).
What worried me was the lack of romance in this history, so I started to introduce romance into my historical novels!
This progressed quickly into 100% romance novels.

I was watching a TV program on surviving in remote places, and circumstances. One was about a man and a woman without clothing or food and what they could achieve. It was obviously very cold at night and two people holding one another would have created Body Heat, but the man refused. It was stupid and made me cross. Sex wasn't involved, but maybe in several instances.
This gave me an idea and I changed the characters so the woman suggested Body Heat, and thus the novel evolved.
