I was inspired by my surrogate mother's ALS diagnosis to write a reunion story where two star crossed lovers are reunited by their best friend--the man who originally introduced them--after he's diagnosed with ALS. He wants something good to come out of his disease and reuniting Kennedy and Zach is at the top of his list.

I'm inspired by people and events that are all around me. I might hear a snippet of conversation or read an article about something that spurs my mind into imagining different scenarios.

I force myself to write even when I am not in the mood. I set a timer for an hour and I pay myself a quarter for every hour I log in the chair. Sometimes I feel like it takes forever for the timer to beep. Other times, I can't wait to turn it off and reset it so I can keep going. I can only fix what is on the page so I keep chugging along.

I'm revising the prequel to The Maverick's Red Hot Reunion. It's set 6 years ago and it's about Jessie Sullivan and Blake Johnston. And since so many people have asked me about Hannah and Caleb's story, good news! I'm currently working on it right now.
