There are so many good ones out there, it is kinda hard to pick just one. They are all great for different reasons.
Since I do have to pick one, I'd have to go with Katniss and Peeta. Mainly for one reason - she is the hard one, the tough one, and he lets her have that spotlight. She takes care of and saves him over and over.
That is kinda the opposite from normal. It was pretty refreshing to read about a heroine that is her own person and doesn't really depend on a guy to make her strong. She depends on him to support her and be there for her, but not to actually be her strength.

Interesting question! So far - no - I have not killed off a character... now - I have had characters that have had to "leave" and that made me sad... especially one that was close to the others... I felt bad for them, but there was no way around it.

Right now I am working on book #2 of the Nowhere Series. I'm hoping to have it out in ebook and print by mid December 2014.

I love going back and reading my book once it is complete and seeing how all the thoughts and ideas I had come together perfectly to tell the story. I also love hearing how people relate to what I wrote. The support I have received means more to me than I can ever express. I have been blown away by the emails, letters, and PMs I have been sent encouraging me and supporting me. Without my fans I have no one to write for, so their backing is amazing.

(view spoiler)[I grew up in Rural Kansas in a town very similar to the one in my book. This town has very much influenced my writing - honestly, it was my mind kinda wandering about my hometown that got me to the idea of my book. It started with thinking about the Native American legend that says my hometown will never be hit by a tornado… from there my mind kinda meandered over to Wizard of Oz and how Dorothy was saved from the tornado… and then I started thinking how would it be if an entire town got transported and saved. After that - things just kind of started falling into place. (hide spoiler)]
