Hi Maureen. I love that you love my Addie. She was so much fun to write and I'm still with her. It's so hard to narrow down my loves in YA or otherwise. There are so many wonderful, realistic, passionate, characters that come to mind. But. But. To name a few. I love Blue Sargent from The Raven Boys. Elisa from The Girl of Fire and Thorns. Avery Morgansten, from Wait for You. Gabi from The River of Time Series. Evie from Paranormalcy. Even, Lizzy from Pride and Prejudice. A little strength mixed with some humor makes the world go round. It just does in my opinion. I'm glad you asked.

I step away and read, watch a movie, take a week away and just be. Generally there is a reason for writer's block, a developmental picture that hasn't truly come together yet, and I'm not even aware of it. After stepping aside I usually have an Aha! moment in Target that has me abandoning my buggy for home, and my computer in a flash. My crazy picks the strangest times to appear.

Building your characters, creeping on unsuspecting subjects in public that could later be written into a novel, pajamas, plotting the next scene, beta readers, research, just everything. The powers of a writer are simply limitless.

I am currently working on the sequel to The Bone Treaty. Another totally different NA Romance called This Short of Never, and another entirely different YA Paranormal called Letters to Stella.

Back in high school I hated math class so bad that I chose to read and write to pass the time. This did NOT help my math grade which shall remain private. But it did fuel my passion for stories while fueling my math teachers passion for detention. Hater.
