Reading reviews and comments about the first and second novel is very inspiring to work on the third. The next most inspiring thing is not being able to sleep at night. There's not a lot to do besides write.

If you're still in school, pay attention in English class. If your teacher tells you that explanations of how language and syntax should work doesn't matter, complain until they teach you. Write down your thoughts and ideas. Even keeping a journal of short snippets or experiences can give you a lot to off of if you get stuck.

I either just stop writing until the story starts again or I tell someone that I have no idea what I'm doing and let them talk until something sparks in my imagination.
