Easily, it's the intense satisfaction when a plot trick that you've been itching to pull off works really well and leaves you feeling that you've achieved something, even though to the outside observer you've just been sitting in your pants over the MacBook for six hours.

I think writer's block happens when you hit a bit of story you haven't planned very well, and on that day in history your imagination just can't paper over the cracks. So my approach is just to go back to the blueprints.
