Hi Cally, thank you so much for reading my story! I'm glad you liked it and want to read more in the future. I'll definitely keep you in mind. :-)

I published four novellas at one time, so I'm trying to remember which one I wrote last. I guess that was FAST TIMES. I have no idea how that particular idea came to me, but I know that the idea for my first one UNDER CONSTRUCTION came to me in a dream, and the idea for my second one stemmed from a story my friend and I used to tell each other in school.

I'm pretty good at self-motivation, and when I set a goal, I do everything possible to meet it. If I know I want to publish a book in three months, I make it happen. Inspiration for a story is a different matter. I sometimes let my mind wonder and see where it takes me. What kind of story would I want to read, and that's how a new book is born.

My next novella takes place in the Costa Rican rainforest, which is a challenge to write. It involves a female botanist and a male security guard hired to keep an eye on the heroine and her research team. That should come out hopefully in the next couple of months or so. The story is turning out to be sexy, funny and more realistic than the heroine anticipated.

I'll pass on the same advice I've heard from other writers. Keep writing. Yes, there are other things you must focus on as well, but nobody else will write your books for you. Others might help with marketing, formatting, cover design and whatever else you need, but nobody can put your story down on paper.

All the stories I always had brewing in my head are seeing the light of day. It's awesome. People are actually interested in hearing what I have to say. Not everyone might like it, but that comes with the territory.

Ugh, writer's block sucks. The only way to deal with it is to keep writing, even if you think the words you're typing aren't anything to get excited about. At least you are moving forward and can always make revisions later.
