This is embarrassing, but... I got inspired to write when a publisher visited my classroom. I had had the idea for this book for awhile but never pursued it. Until, this is absolutely true, I heard myself say "I'm working on a book right now!" After that, I figured I had better live up to my dream. I ended up with a different publisher, but I'm very grateful to the one who got me started.
