My inspiration for Lying Blind, Nan Vining #6, was three-fold. First, I wondered what if a character we think we know well turns out to be hiding a dark secret? Second, I was inspired by the Central California Coast, where I moved five years ago and the effects of the great drought, which fortunately just ended this year.
