I've got Spiral War Book 4 sitting on the back burner as I start writing Book 5. I'll go back and look at Book 4 one last time soon before sending it off to the editor. During that look through I will add in little details I may have forgotten, things that add only a few words here and there, but add a ton to the universe.

Stick to it, believe and invest in yourself. Attend writing workshops, join writing groups, pay for an editor once you're at that point, ask published authors for advice (but don't ask them to read/edit your work) and keep your head up.
