You can make anything happen in fiction, and in non-fiction you can choose what to include. Both of these factors give the opportunity to create meaning. Also, when I allow characters to speak, they often tell me things I hadn't expected. I love that element of surprise.

I'm currently working on a sequel to CRACK, which details events in the next five or so years after CRACK ends. Also considering a re-write of my unpublished novel The Sun Loungers, to see if I can give it a clearer protagonist, which I'm told is a must
