Q: Why is the book called THE DUNNING MAN?
A: The word “dunning” means “to make persistent demands on someone, especially for payment of a debt,” and the title story features a character who has a big adventure when he attempts to collect what he believes he is owed -- financially and from life. The words started off as just a part of a line of dialog, as most of the story titles did, but it seemed a cool title for the story, which is the longest in the collection.
