Hi Lexie! Thanks for asking this. You aren't the first reader to want more of the Not Yet characters. As soon as I get my third book edited, I've decided to start working on a second book featuring Dean. I *think* Amy will make appearances in this one as well! Stay tuned....

Currently, I am working on that first project I was stumped on while walking at the park when Not Yet came to me. The book is called Life Changing and I at the edit stage with it right now.

I step away from the computer when I have writer's block. I take a walk, play with my kids, call my mom, or run a few errands. My absolute favorite method is the most ridiculous, however. Sometimes, I walk around my house in circles and find a way to unstump my brain! When all else fails, I drink a glass of wine. Ha!

The best part about being a writer is just that. Being able to say, "I'm a writer!" I really believe that anyone who publishes a book (independently or traditionally) has dreamed about and feared the process of completing that ultimate goal. I am so darn happy and proud to say that something I have aspired to my whole life happened. I wrote a book. And that's pretty awesome.

Write every single day. Read every single day. I have also found that listening to audio books gives me a new perspective on writing dialogue. Find a few friends who love to read and ask their advice on your story line. And, if you can find a beta reader who will really critique your work (harshly at times) like my friend, Christine Manzari (check out her books: Deviation and Conviction) you will be amazed at how much your writing will improve!

Exercise, music, and people watching are all ways I find inspiration in my writing.

I was walking at the park, looking for some inspiration for a different book I was working on. I thought about my days as a lifeguard and later on as a teacher. I began daydreaming about a character who had a sister with Down syndrome and Emma was born!
