I have met so many people who allowed their childhood to dictate the next stages of their life. Many people let it kept them from pursuing their dreams.
I didn't. I wanted them to read my story and say OK I can put the stuff behind me. Even laugh it off even though it wasn't funny at the time.

I don't think it's really ever writers block. I think sometimes your just not into it,
or your tired from other things. One thing I would do is just start a fresh chapter rather then reliving the entire book. That always helped.

My dream has come true, and as of this minute I'm number two on the Amazon Hot Seller list, with my book sanwiched in between Mariano Rivera and Alex Rodriquez. Doesn't seem real. Also, my co=workers all surrounding my desk to get their books signed. That's weird. Also people calling me Stephen "King: Costello, that's funny. I hope I have a tenth of his success.

I have a ton of advice for aspiring writers. I worked on my book back and forth for over a decade. Then came my turning point. My daughter and I picked up Peter Shankman's book at a Barnes and Noble in Boston. Madison asked when are we going to be able to get your book dad? I then set a date of her next birthday and handed it to her that day. You need self imposed deadlines.
You also need a book team to bounce ideas off and let you know when you are heading enthusiastically in the wrong direction. I love love love my book team.
