Super glad you enjoyed Breaking Gravity, you just made my day! Bummer that it kept you up to the wee hours... but I can think of no higher compliment than a reader saying they lost sleep!
And ooooh man, yes... I do wish we could really control gravity. That would solve so many problems for us!
Have you been paying attention to this UAP business? The "Unidentified Arial Phenomenon" thing?

Basically, the US Military is now confirming that there is indeed something out there, something that they cannot explain. From here, it looks to me like someone HAS figured out how to control gravity... but it's not us!
The Pentagon has developed a list of abilities that these UAP display, things that defy our current understanding of physics. Like the ability to accelerate and achieve insanely high speeds, almost instantaneously. Even if we could achieve these speeds in our aircraft, such acceleration would liquify a human passenger!
These UAP are also capable of "trans-medium" travel, which is to say they've been tracked entering our atmosphere, zipping around in our sky in a manner that outperforms the best we have, and then dipping into the ocean and traveling with equal speed and ease. So these UAP can travel outside of the atmosphere, inside of it, AND under water!
If you look again at the final chapter of Breaking Gravity, you will see that the ability to control gravity could explain ALL of those things. Current science puts the rate at which gravity is communicated at nearly the speed of light. So insanely high speeds would be easy to achieve.
And if you could create a stable source of gravity within the vehicle, the passengers would not be liquified during extreme direction changes. In fact, there would be no sensation of motion whatsoever. If there were a window onboard, the world would be zipping around you but you wouldn't feel a thing.
Wrap the craft in a field of anti-gravity and you could just as easily travel under water. Water would slip around the craft, just like atmosphere!
Of course, the Pentagon could just be pulling our leg... this whole thing could just be some elaborate hoax!
But if it's real? Sure seems to me that whoever (or whatever) is behind it has found a way to control gravity... almost EXACTLY as described in Breaking Gravity.
Wouldn't that be AWESOME?!!!

Wish I had better news about 'WTH?!' for you!
Unfortunately, the COVID thing has squashed my writing. I was down in Costa Rica with my youngest son when Italy shut down. A couple days later, a 'State of Emergency' was declared in the US and everybody rushed out to buy toilette paper. By the time we made it back to Florida, schools had been canceled.
Therein lies the problem. I have three sons, ages 10, 12, and 15. And my wife is a teacher. So my house has become crowded and noisy, affording nary a moment of peace for me.
Though my writing has suffered, I've actually quite enjoyed all the bonus time with my gang!
That said, I have recently begun writing on WTH again (that name will change, btw). I just started chapter 6, and my books are typically around 20 chapters... so, if I go the normal length on this one, then I'm a quarter of the way done and should be able to publish before the end of the year (early November?).
I am, however, considering doing something a little different in response to reader reviews that I've received. One consistent theme I've noticed (even among my 5 star reviews) are that my stories are too short.
As much fun as I've been having with WTH, it wouldn't be hard to address that complaint. With this particular story, it would be very easy to just run with the adventure and let it keep going... turning it into a bit of an epic novel. If that happens, it might add a month or two of work for me.
Anyway, wish I had a more solid answer for you! But thank you for asking!
