As cliché as this is going to sound, I dreamed about a place where misunderstood monsters/creatures perfected their craft, and really it just went from there...I began working on Malicious, (almost titled Hell Tossed), fall 2010.

The best thing about being a writer is hearing how fans/readers fall in love with my book characters the same way I have.

There are lots of people and things that inspire me to write; finishing a good book by a favorite author is one of my favorite ways to get inspired, but so is reading Malicious fan reviews...:)

Currently I am working with editors to edit book 2 of my Morning Star Institute series, as well as writing book 3 of the series I am always writing new ideas and scheming in my notebooks though...

Read something everyday even if it's only a few pages. Write something everyday, even if it's only one sentence since those usually turn into several paragraphs, or a few pages. Continue to do your research about literary agents, publishers, how to write that perfect query, how to approach an agent, and when to submit your manuscript. Join writer critique groups and blogs. And last but possibly most importantly, start social networking well before you are a published author!
This was kind of fun to respond to...I hope my advice helps, and good luck!

Writer's block is something I refer to as "falling out of character"...the best way to get back into character is by going back and reading the last chapter I wrote, or go through and read notes and character descriptions I keep jotted down in my notebooks...Or if that does not work, I enjoy going back and reading fan reviews; there's something about reading positive feedback on my 'book baby' that gives me a new spark of motivation. When all else fails drink coffee and find your happy place. :)
