I think you either enjoy writing or you don't. But you have to have a reason for writing. The reason is where the inspiration comes from. Everybody will have their own reasons, but the reason provides the inspiration. Then it is just a matter of discipline.

Be honest in your writing. Be original in your writing. Write from the heart speaking with your own voice, but guide it with intellect. If you want to make a living out of writing, treat it like a business. If you write as a hobby, expect to lose money, because hobbies cost you money they don’t make you money.

If I follow a structured approach to writing, I don't get writer's block. This is my structure. I lay out a structure for the book: beginning, middle and end. Each day I list three to four scenes I will write about within that structure. I keep a spreadsheet that keeps track of how many words I have written. And I write. It doesn't have to be perfect. That is what editing is for.
