Becca Whitham My grandmother got divorced in the 1940's. She moved home to Missouri with her three sons then, about a year later, moved to New Mexico to marry my step-grandfather. I asked my dad how my grandmother met her second husband and if it was an arranged marriage. He tilted his head to one side and said, "I don't know. I never asked. Wouldn't that be an interesting story?"

Becca Whitham Narnia--after the White Witch has been defeated, though, because I've already lived in Alaska. I would travel the entire country, talk to animals, and enjoy Turkish Delight without fear of gaining weight.
Becca Whitham I get artsy! I love creating art in all kinds of formats. I'm a singer, a violinist, and a paper crafter. I make lots of greeting cards and scrapbook pages which makes my brain concentrate on something other than plot, characterization, and sentence structure. Most times, an hour or two stretching my creativity in a different direction allows me to go back to my office refreshed.

And then there's chocolate...
Becca Whitham My inspiration usually comes from history. For every major historic event, there are a million smaller events--from family histories to little know facts. It's this micro-histories that get my creative juices flowing.
