I got the idea for my "Prince of Prophecy" series from all the fairy tales, folk tales, and stories from classic literature that I read over the course of my life. I wanted to give those short stories more substance and depth and I wanted to expand upon the characters that I already knew and loved. I was interested to see what would happen if I brought different fantasy stories and characters together in a single-plot series. The result was far better than I ever imagined it could be, and thus "The Prince of Prophecy" series was born.

Reading inspires me to write and create. Even when I was a child I always felt the most creative after I finished reading a book--the same is still true today.

Right now, I'm working on the sixth and final book in "The Prince of Prophecy" series. I'm also working on a brand new sci-fi/adventure series, and a "Prince of Prophecy" spin-off novella.

Write everyday. Write a blog post, write in a journal, write about the people you interact with--it doesn't matter what you write, just as long as you do write. The more you write the better you'll become.

There are many amazing things about being a writer (I could probably write a whole book about it, in fact). However, for me the best thing about it is being able to create my own worlds and explore the farthest reaches of my imagination.

I've never dealt with writer's block. I either write, or I don't--it's as simple as that for me.
