Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
J.M. Hofer My books have all grown from the seeds that were planted in my imagination as a child and young adult. Those seeds were the Chronicles of Narnia, Greek, Norse, and Celtic Mythology, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, the Chronicles of Prydain, the Mists of Avalon, Arthurian Legend, and Iron Age history.

J.M. Hofer This is a perpetual state-of-being for me.

What are you currently working on?
J.M. Hofer Currently working on wearing my marketing hat! As a self-published author, this is a whole new arena for me. Doing my best, lots of trial and error...and working on Book 6 every night. I am hoping to have both an audio version of Book 5 out this year, and, if all goes well, Book 6 ready for editing!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
J.M. Hofer Just sit down and write. Write whatever comes to mind. The stories will come.
