Susi Moore 'Levana's Dream' (a full length prequel to 'Levana's Wish')

Levana wakes after the terrible events of the solstice to find her nightmare is far from over. She is visited by Yala, the necromancer who threatens to destroy her union with Auric and more.
Susi Moore I was fascinated by a photograph which showed long, colourful ribbons ('clotties') trailing from a tree. After a little research, I found that wishing tree rituals are commonly held in May or June, particularly in parts of Ireland, where believers inscribe wishes onto ribbons and ask for blessings from nature, saints or goddesses.

I began to think of the rituals we hold throughout the year and their purpose. Whether a summer solstice or a snowbound December, we re-enact rituals year after year. What if I introduced elements of the supernatural? What would be the effect on my characters and their situations? I loved the idea of exploring possibilities only a paranormal slant could provide. From this spawned my short story collection.

Auric has gone from this world yet Levana impossibly longs for his return. She takes part in a midsummer ceremony to invoke the dark elements. What price will she pay?
