Write more dialogue or description that advances the story. I just keep writing until my character runs into someone or I come up with an interesting idea. Often times having the character run into a person and striking up a conversation is a really good way to keep writing, have something interesting, and get over the writers block. I often find myself sneaking plot points into the dialogue which allows me to become inspired again to write.

When you finish a book and realize you wrote that book it feels really great. Its also really exhilarating to see people reading and buying your book once you publish. But those two things area about finishing and publishing. I enjoy writing because it helps focus me. I can let go of all my worries and just write. Its refreshing.

Write. Write in a notebook or on you laptop, and just write. Don't let people's negative comments stop you, and don't let constructive criticism fluster you. At the same time don't block it out. Welcome advice and help, and try to think about how you can change your writing to make it better. Also, don't read over and edit your story until it is done, or you will never finish it. Finally, make use of sites such as Wattpad to receive constructive criticism on your writing.

I am currently working on "Honored", book two of my "In Search of Honor" series. I am really excited about the book and the changes and problems that the main character will face in this next book.

I am often inspired to write when I need to pay attention to a teacher or a professor and I am having trouble staying awake. I am also randomly inspired to write when I have interesting dreams or I suddenly have a really good new idea as to how to progress my story.
Truthfully, I just like to write and don't really need inspiration to write.

I actually got the idea for this book back when I was in eleventh grade. It was actually a mixture of some world ideas I had and some plot ideas. I think that the original plot started out as a dream. I wrote about 2000 words in, and then went back to my pet project at the time, "In the Absence of Light".
The original idea was simply girl in post apocalyptic city who was a noble but was dishonored and now lives in poverty. Guards patrolled the poverty area because the dishonored were criminals because no one would hire them. The main girl was in love with a nobleman that she met when they were children. He would often sneak in to visit her or her out to visit him.
If you read the story, this original idea is very different from what I wrote for nanowrimo in 2013. The world is still there, and the concept of dishonor still exists, but I changed a lot of other things about the city and the plot. I lost the original 2000 words by accidentally dropping my laptop, but I think the story I carefully crafted and built is a lot better than the original "I have a dream I have to write down right now" that I wrote.
For this book I even did some research into torture prisons in different genocides including the holocaust and Khmer Rouge genocide. I visited Cambodia and Tuol Sleng, the main torture prison in Phnom Penh while I was finishing the last chapter and editing the story. The torture prison in my book does not represent any one prison though. It is unique to the world of my book, and is nowhere near as gruesome and terrible as a real torture prison.
